SCaLE 21x is coming!

I’m running a track this year!

At UpSCaLE in 2018, I asked everybody in the room who ever blew up production to raise their hand. Almost every hand in the room went up. Photo by Lisa Sweeney.

The SoCal Linux Expo (aka “SCaLE”) has been my go-to open-source conference for many years. I stumbled on it by pure happenstance when I lived in L.A., and have remained part of it, as it has remained part of me, ever since. It’s far more than just Linux, covering almost all aspects of open source, and also co-hosting DevOps Day L.A., NixCon north America, PostGres, MySQL, Kubernetes and other local and regional events.

This year, I have had some downtime after leaving AWS, so I’m not only going to speak, but I’m running the Observability track.

As of this week, the schedule, details of presentations, and speaker list have all been published. It’s been a hell of a lot of work to get here, with the program committee sifting through hundreds of great submissions to come up with the selection we’d like to present.

It’s time to start planning. Discounted rooms in the area will go fast. And if you’re interested/able to sponsor, we’d love to hear from you.
